Social Resource Library Machine (2017)
St. Paul, Minnesota
Lead Designer
The Social Resource Library Machine reflected the changing character of the Midway Hamline neighborhood of Saint Paul while giving its residents a platform for developing their knowledge and interests. Focused on DIY manuals and workshops, and curated by a librarian, the Library Machine was housed in a box truck and occupied several parking lots throughout the neighborhood. During its tenancy, the Social Resource Library Machine acted as a space for enhancing a community’s existing assets in the face of a rapidly evolving neighborhood.
Commissioned by the Union Park District Council, with support from Forecast Public Art and the Knight Foundation.
